Central Steam Heating System Expansion and Upgrade for 25 Buildings
GMI expanded and upgraded a central steam heating system, including the steam plant, distribution system, and mechanical room equipment, for the Air Reserve Command in Minneapolis-St.Paul. This system provides heat for 25 buildings covering 470,000 square feet. We also designed and installed a LAN “backbone” for the addition of an Energy Management Control System (EMCS).
Concept development began in October 2003. All new systems were completely operational 15 months later.
