Analysis of Retro-Commissioning Benefits at 3 Major Air Bases
GMI is performing a pilot program to assist in analysis of the
economic and comfort benefits associated with retro-commissioning a
major building at three different air bases. This program involves
significant monitoring and recording of as-is conditions for a
period of time, then retro-commissioning the systems by identifying
and correcting problems, followed by monitoring and recording of the
resulting proper operation. The documentation of the improvements is
being prepared to analyze the cost benefits. A follow-up visit to
each site will duplicate the initial effort to determine how much,
if any, deterioration of the building system operations has
occurred.
