Archeological Investigations
GMI has extensive experience in providing cultural resources input in support of Environmental Assessments or Environmental Impact Statements. We have performed on both linear and areal projects. Some of these were as small as an acre; others covered hundreds of miles and thousands of acres across multiple states.
Osteological Investigations
Our team of archeologists, osteologists, and historians offer unparalleled expertise in conducting osteological investigations. Services may include the discovery of human remains at residential development sites, analyzing and interpreting the data related to the excavation, and reinterment of hundreds of individuals.
Cutting Edge Technology
GMI utilizes a suite of advanced techniques including
GPS,
3D laser scanning,
and geophysical survey to more quickly and accurately document
cultural resources. Our team has developed 3D models of complex
sites and artifacts, predictive models of archaeological and
historical resources, and sampling strategies to reduce work load
and eliminate redundancy, thereby lowering the costs to achieve your
project goals. The use of
MARK has allowed rapid analysis and site documentation, reduced recording errors and omissions, and facilitated rapid population of cultural resource databases. Our
3D laser scanning specialists have experience documenting sites, features, and artifacts in 15 states and 6 countries.
