Jeff Simpson joins GMI team as Diving Safety Manager

PLANO, TEXAS (August 8, 2008)

Jeff Simpson PADI Dive Instructor and Course Director, and manager of Diver’s Training Center/Aqua Sports in Plano, Texas, recently became GMI’s Diving Safety Manager.

Jeff has 19 years of experience in training SCUBA divers. He has certified in excess of 2,500 divers and 150 dive instructors. Also Jeff has over 5,000 logged dives. He is an Instructor Trainer in 14 Diving Specialty areas, including Nitrox and TriMix. Jeff is also a Gas Blending Instructor Trainer, Medic First Aid, PADI Emergency First, and Response Instructor Trainer.

Jeff was nominated SSI Platinum Pro in 2006. He was a guest speaker at several seminars sponsored by PADI at DEMA. He has published in Dive Training magazine and Dive Center Business magazine.

Jeff has worked with GMI before. He served as a Diving Safety Officer for the offshore seafloor quantitative survey of proposed U.S. Navy MINEX training areas off Pensacola, Florida. The GMI Scientific Diving Program is very pleased to have Jeff on board.
