On February 14, 2008 GMI was awarded a five year IDIQ contract by the Air Force Center for Engineering and Environment (AFCEE), Brooks City Base, TX to provide Title I, Title II, and other A-E services for environmental projects The contract’s scope includes support of environmental restoration; conservation, and planning; environmental quality; and traditional planning, design, and programming requirements. This contract also supports the Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency (AFCESA) in execution of facility sustainment, restoration, and modernization (SRM) requirements. In addition, this contract will provide services supporting requirements in emerging market areas like Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) fuel facilities, unexploded ordnance (UXO), range management, anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP), and sustainable design.
Title I services include all aspects of design such as preparation and/or review of contract plans, specifications, scheduling, cost estimates, building commissioning services, and preparation of operating and design manuals. Title II services include construction quality assurance and oversight of facility construction, SRM, and environmental projects. Other A&E services include support associated with conventional design for construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities to include LEED™ analysis and documentation and interior design services.
