Karen Johnson on 1-year assignment in Guam for U.S. Navy

PLANO, TEXAS (January 5, 2007)

Karen Johnson, an Environmental Specialist in the Plano, Texas office of GMI has temporarily relocated to Guam in the Marianas Islands where she will spend the next year providing NEPA support to the Navy Environmental Program for the Marianas.

Ms. Johnson, possessing both a BS in Environmental Science/Geography and a MS in Water Quality Management, has over 20 years of environmental experience. Much of that experience deals with compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). She is experienced at NEPA documentation, NEPA environmental impact assessments, and NEPA regulatory compliance. Ms. Johnson has produced Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Information Documents, Administrative Records of Decisions, and participated in the public participation aspects of the NEPA process.

Ms. Johnson’s support will include a wide range of programmatic and site-specific NEPA assessments and documentation. Additional NEPA and GIS support will be provided to the Navy from the Plano, Texas office.
