Cultural Resources Division wins two Fort Bliss contracts

PLANO, TEXAS (September, 2007)

In late July Fort Bliss announced the award of a five-year Indefinite Quantity Historic Architectural Services contract to GMI. Vice President Duane Peter credits the win to the creation of a multidisciplinary team headed by Dr. Marsha Prior, Director of Historical Research Services. Historic Architect Joe Freeman and the staff of Cornerstone Research were also important to the team effort. “Geo-Marine’s prior experience in providing similar services throughout the Department of Defense contributed to the selection,” said Mr. Peter.

Fort Bliss has also award GMI a five-year Indefinite Quantity Archeological Services contract. GMI has provided archeological services to the installation for the past five years. "The award reflects the hard work of our El Paso office during the past five years," said Mr. Peter. "The dedication of the staff to produce quality work and the creative research of Mr. Myles Miller, the Principal Investigator supervising Geo-Marine’s efforts at Fort Bliss, were essential to Geo-Marine’s success in obtaining a second five-year contract."
